Forming Young Hearts for Christ

Faith formation is catechesis (teaching the faith) which aims to deepen people’s contact with Jesus Christ via educational and enrichment opportunities. Designed to touch the intellect as well as the heart, these programs help people live and experience a more Christ-centered life. All programs are deeply rooted in Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We are committed to providing the very best in Faith Formation for your children in partnership with your family. We offer a variety of programming options to meet the diverse needs of our families. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our many programs. We look forward to getting to know you and your family.

This program is offered during the school year, from August to May. Registration begins in August and remains on-going throughout the year. There is $25 donation per family, requested to defray the cost of supplies. We invite all parents to serve in the classroom to experience it first-hand!

Caring Adults and Teens, we are always looking for an extra set of hands for Young Disciples. Family Faith Formation

In our family faith formation study program, families are equipped with materials to pass on the catechism of our faith at home. Each child  begins with a workbook that will help families grow together in the richness of church teaching. Then families are given additional resources throughout the year to enhance learning throughout the liturgical seasons.

Families are not alone in this journey. The home study will be supplemented with a parent orientation, materials. Be certain to check the bulletin for upcoming nights for parent gatherings.

Missoula Children’s Theater

July 9th-14th 2018  ROBIN HOOD

The primary goal of MCT – indeed, the organization’s mission – is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts. Within each MCT cast, girls and boys are equal; the disabled become able; the shy experiment with bravery; the slow are rehearsed to perfection; and the gifted become part of the whole. The lesson they learn is that all of them are necessary for the show to go on. Few arenas exist where responsibility is taught and learned so clearly. MCT provides a unique opportunity to learn the lessons of group dynamics while excelling as an individual – a lesson from art that carries into life. MCT strives to use participation in the performing arts as a vehicle to develop life skills including social skills, communication skills, self-discipline, a strong work ethic, an understanding of the team concept and self-esteem.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is a fun, innovative program for our 4th and 5th-grade students. Whether they are newly confirmed or making sacraments in the years to come, stepping stones meets the unique needs of older elementary students to broaden friendships and help them to feel a part of the larger church community. Adult and Teen Leaders encourage 4th and 5th graders to deepen their faith and learn what it means to be followers of Jesus.

We accomplish this by:
-Planning relevant evenings to meet their developmental needs as upper elementary students.
-Maintaining high expectations about their contributions to Stepping Stones and the larger community.
-Providing a safe environment for learning, service and fun.
-Extending hospitality to the children and their friends.
-Increasing their understanding about what it means to be a Catholic.
-Providing opportunities to be of service to this community.
