These past few months of construction have been a challenge to the daily function of our parish. Since parking construction has begun our Administration building has had limited use, and our staff has been very flexible even though it has been a challenge for them. For parishioners there will be some temporary traffic changes, so on the weekends the sheriff deputies will be on site guiding all of us onto our campus. This should only last a few weeks.
I would say that this process can be called growing pains. It is inconvenient for now. Soon our parking lot will all be redone! There will be more parking spaces and clear and visible access to the Parish Office/Administration building. The new Social Justice-Outreach house, which includes the large teen space and storage space, is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. What we have needed and have been working on will soon be enjoyed by everyone. There will be an Open House for the new space so that all parishioners will have an idea of how this space can be used for important gatherings, meetings, counseling, support groups and other outreach events.
So, the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen. We can soon take a breath, enjoy the sacrifices that many have made from our parish family, and then begin to see the fruits of what will come from the people using this space!
We will continue to keep parishioners informed on the latest information. For a weekly update on parish news, if you aren’t receiving it already, sign up for the Email Connection sent every Thursday.
Peace in Christ,
