First Down with Fr. Eric (November 13, 2022)

Posted on: Nov 13, 2022

Dear Friends,

Our Parish Fall Festival was a great success. We estimated by the amount of food that was eaten, the candy given out, and the numbers of children and youth that attended, that we had about 1,000 people come by. It was great to have our campus filled with all types of people, parishioners, friends of parishioners, and guests join in the festival joy.

I want to express my thanks to the Parish staff who continually work hard to make this event and other events work wonderfully for the benefit of others. That is ministry at its best.

We also thank the many groups who gave of their time to make this happen. The Men’s Club served great food, the people who provided their cars for Trunk or Treat, people that came to do the prep work needed, we are all truly grateful.

Speaking of being grateful, we can mark our calendars for Thanksgiving Day, November 24 for a Mass at 9:00 am. We invite parishioners to come to thank God for our blessings and to pray for others on this special day. We are bringing back muffins and coffee after Mass so we can enjoy our parish family fellowship before the festivities of the day. No one really needs to stay home to watch the Detroit Lions lose another Thanksgiving game.

Peace in Christ,

Fr. Eric
