ADOPT A FAMILY 2021

 

Thank you for your interest in our Adopt a Family Program.  Adopt a Family is a long-standing tradition at St. Patrick.  Each year, St. Patrick adopts underprivileged children in the Scottsdale Schools to help provide Christmas for their families.  Children provide “wishlists” and parishioners can help these families by purchasing gifts for the children that we will give to parents so they can wrap them and give out for Christmas.

If you’d like to adopt a family this year, please carefully read and follow the instructions below:

  1. SIGN UP.  Registration to adopt a family will take place both in person or online. 

To adopt a family in person, please see the Adopt a Family ministers at the table outside the church doors before and after all Masses on the weekends of November 20-21 and 27-28. 

To sign up online,  please visit the SignUp Genius link below.  You will select a family based on the number of children that you would like to adopt. Please include all your contact information when you sign up.  If you are adopting with other people or with a group, make sure one person is designated as the contact person.

  1. COLLECT FORMS/WAIT FOR AN EMAIL.  

 

If you adopt in person, the AAF ministers will provide you an envelope with the children’s wishlists, along with instructions for purchasing and returning your gifts. Please make sure you thoroughly read the instruction sheet

 

If you adopt online, within 48 hours of signing up, you will receive an email with the wishlist for your family.  This email will also include detailed instructions about purchasing and returning gifts.  Please make sure you save this email and follow all instructions

 

  1. SHOP.  Shop for your children based on their list, or age appropriate items if they haven’t listed enough suggestions. Many stores are offering “Black Friday” all month long! Remember that each child has provided a “wish list”. Gift choices are ultimately up to you, the donor.  Say a small prayer for your children while you’re shopping 🙂 

 

  1. RETURN.  There will be two designated weekends and two designated weeknights for gift returns.  

 

November 27-28 – before and after all Masses

December 2 – 3pm – 7pm

December 4-5 – before and after all Masses

December 6 – 3pm – 7pm

 

These will be the only times we are able to accept gifts, so please plan accordingly.  If you need to make special arrangements, please contact mpopa(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)stpatcc.org. Please refer to the “Donor Instructions” sheet provided in your packet or email for all the specific details on returning gifts. 

Please know the families receiving your donation will be very appreciative of your investment of time and money as an expression of concern for them.  Thank you for your generosity! May your Christmas season be filled with joy and the light of Christ.
